Welcome to Nathan Hale High School

At Nathan Hale High School, we are committed to excellence in education — every student, every day, and with every opportunity. Located on a beautiful 65-acre campus in West Allis, we proudly serve approximately 1,200 students from West Allis, West Milwaukee, Greenfield, New Berlin, and the Milwaukee metro area.

With a strong tradition of academic achievement and community involvement, Nathan Hale has been preparing students for success for over 90 years.

Academics & Student Support

We offer a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for college, career, and life beyond high school. Our students consistently perform well on standardized assessments, and our ACT scores are competitive with the state average.  Nathan Hale students also excel in Advanced Placement (AP) courses, with over two-thirds of AP test-takers earning college credit prior to graduation.  These accomplishments are a result of a rigorous curriculum, committed staff, dedicated parents, and a highly engaged student body.

Our schedule includes a dedicated homeroom advisory period, where students receive academic support and build positive relationships with peers and staff. Ninth-grade students benefit from additional mentorship to help them transition successfully into high school.  Our professional learning community of teachers and staff focuses on promoting student success through a number of academic interventions.

Student Life & Involvement

Nathan Hale offers a vibrant co-curricular program with numerous clubs, athletic teams, fine arts programs, and leadership opportunities. We encourage all students to get involved, build connections, and find their place in our school community.
