School Resource Officer (SRO)

Hello!

My name is Lonnie Christianson, and I’m proud to serve as the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Nathan Hale High School for the 2025–2026 school year. I officially transitioned into the SRO role on December 16, 2024, and worked at Nathan Hale during the second semester of the 2024–2025 school year.

I have been a law enforcement officer for 22 years. For the past 11 years, I’ve served the West Allis Police Department on second-shift patrol. Prior to that, I worked for the Village of Brown Deer Police Department.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, and spending time with my family.

A question I’m frequently asked is:
"When should I contact the police or report something to the SRO?"

Here’s my recommendation:

  • If the incident happens outside of school hours or off school grounds, please contact the police department directly.

  • If the incident occurs during the school day and your student is on campus, reach out to the school and/or the SRO.

Please don’t worry about whether an issue is “too minor” to report. We would much rather address a situation early before it has the chance to escalate into something more serious.

I look forward to working with the Nathan Hale community and contributing to a safe, positive school environment. Let’s make it a great year!
