HOSA - Health Occupations Students of America

HOSA – Future Health Professionals is a national student organization designed to promote career opportunities in the healthcare industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA is an integral part of the Health Science Education program and is dedicated to developing leadership and technical skills through motivation, awareness, and recognition.

The mission of HOSA is to empower students to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and hands-on experience.

At Nathan Hale, HOSA provides students with opportunities to explore health careers, compete in health-related events, and gain real-world skills that prepare them for future success in the medical field. Through participation, members work toward personal and professional growth while contributing positively to their school and community.

HOSA encourages all members to:

  • Promote physical, mental, and social well-being

  • Develop effective leadership qualities and communication skills

  • Build character, self-confidence, and pride in one’s work

  • Foster responsible citizenship and service to others

  • Make realistic career choices in the healthcare field

  • Understand and respond to current health care and environmental issues

  • Engage in local, state, and national health-related projects

  • Cooperate with fellow students and community organizations

  • Support the goals of Health Science Education

  • Achieve both individual and group success

HOSA is more than a club—it's a pathway for students passionate about making a difference in health care and becoming the future leaders of the profession.
